Apa itu Traction Control System (TCS)?

Traction Control System(TCS) pada umumnya, ialah fungsi kedua kepada Antilock Braking System(ABS) dimana kedua-duanya dibangunkan untuk ciri keselamatan kenderaan anda. Jika ABS berfungsi untuk mencegah tayar anda daripada tergelincir ketika brek kecemasan, TCS pula mencegah tayar anda dari tergelincir ketika pemanduan. Secara lazimnya, TCS berfungsi secara automatik ketika kenderaan anda melalui jalanraya yang licin ketika hujan. Ia beroperasi mengoptimumkan pemanduan anda ketika dalam kelajuan yang agak tinggi atau sederhana.

Bagaimana TCS beroperasi?

TCS akan beroperasi apabila sensor mengesan salah satu tayar yang berputar lebih laju dari tayar yang lain. Maka sistem akan segera mengaktifkan brek pada tayar yang berputar laju itu supaya ia berputar pada kelajuan yang sama dengan tayar yang lain. Sebagai contoh, sebuah kereta yang melalui jalan yang mempunyai lopak air, secara tiba-tiba hilang kawalan kerana tayar belakang berputar lebih laju. TCS akan akan segera mengaktifkan brek pada tayar yang berputar lebih laju supaya keempat-empat tayar kembali seimbang.
